Technology, Teaching, and Doing it Differently

Of the many themes picked up in Crystal Alberts’ EduPunk discussion is the intersection between technology, potential, entrenched modes of thinking and doing, and the need to teach new things to different kinds of students in innovative ways.  It’s not simply about doing what we know how to do better, but it may be about inventing new ways to teach and to learn.  Hopefully the conversations in this blog will help us all along that path in some kind of modest way.

For more in this general discussion, check out the nice series of articles in the January issue of Academic Commons entitled: New Media Technologies and the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.
